Sounds and Vibrations
The recordings
These recordings can give you an idea or the instruments that I use in sound baths and individual sessions. All of the instruments I use are acoustic and when listening to the recordings with mainly your ears, you will not, of course, be able to feel the vibrations in your body in the same way as when being in close proximity to the instrument. Recordings can, nevertheless, serve to bring you a sense of calm and well-being..

Extracts
With this extract, Voyage Deep, I am sharing a glimpse of my forthcoming album with you. The only instruments you hear are the amazing KoTaMo and my voice.
Here the shruti box provides a drone, a harmonic basis that allows the voice to express itself freely.
Here are some of the instruments that you can hear in my sound baths and concerts
The instruments
The Koto is the "Japanese harp", a traditional instrument from Japan with plucked strings and a system of small bridges. It is played horizontally. Here I have chosen a pentatonic tuning without the third or the seventh. There are no effects added to this recording – you can really hear the incredible resonance of this instrument.
The Tanpura (Tampura or Tambura) is a traditional Indian instrument with four (or five) strings and a sounding board traditionally carved out of a dried pumpkin. The strings are played continuously to create a drone effect that sounds out the entire harmonic series. We are literally massaged by the resonance of the instrument on the subtle energy planes as well as the physical.
Monochord .....
Paiste symphonic gong 32. The rich harmonics of the gong are practically impossible to capture on a digital recording in a compressed mp3 file. This incredible gong gradually reveals a complex treasure of audible and non-audible vibrations and surprises me each time I play it. Every single session is different.
